The AI to Z Workshop: Finding the Words We Need Now

The AI to Z Workshop is a participatory design experience developed by the Center for Digital Thriving at Harvard GSE. In it, a diverse group of people come together to name the often-invisible ways AI is reshaping culture, relationships, and everyday human experience. Through an interactive experience on Miro, participants surface and coin terms for phenomena we’re living through but don’t yet have words for. In previous workshops, we’ve come up with provisional terms like:

  • Chatplomacy: using AI to soften tone, smooth communication, or make messages more diplomatic
  • Why Botherism: the feeling that if AI can do a task, there is little point in learning or attempting it yourself
